Last week, we stopped by one of the Chicago Athletic Association Hotel's bars, the rooftop stunner Cindy's. This week, we ventured to another spot in the hotel, Game Room (12 S. Michigan Ave., Loop). Where Cindy's charms with its view, Game Room entices instead with entertainment aplenty: pool tables, indoor bocce and shuffleboard, and affordable drinks.
The beverages are crafted by cocktail whiz Paul McGee, now in cahoots with the Land & Sea Dept. group that owns this particular spot, and most of them clock in around $10 (and reps assure us there will always be an $8 option available.) Even if you're not in the mood to drink, it's still a great place to hang, with thoughtful vintage decor, couches aplenty, and unfettered access to the games.
Here's what all we saw when we stopped in.
