Illuminated by warm lighting, Steak 48's wraparound bar (615 N. Wabash Ave.) is a cozy date or hangout spot that's casual enough so won't feel out of place if you aren't dressed to the nines. During our recent visit, folks enjoyed cocktails and wine while college football played on nearby TVs. You don't have to stay for the steak, but let's be honest, it's hard to resist the aroma seeping in from the dining room.
