Openings

Bunny, the Micro Bakery (2928 N. Broadway, Lake View) by Iliana Regan (Elizabeth Restaurant chef and Queen of Midwestern Cuisine) is open at long last. Offerings run the gamut from composed toasts and tartines to giant yuzu gummies.

In other pastry news, the many who still mourn Bad Wolf Coffee’s departure should be delighted that Loba Pastry + Coffee (3422 N. Lincoln Ave.) now occupies the space. Former Bad Wolf and Blackbird pastry chef Val Taylor is a co-owner, offering five pastry options, along with caffeinated beverages and—unlike at Bad Wolf—Wi-Fi.

Whiskey Business (1367 N. Milwaukee Ave., Wicker Park)—an ’80s- and ’90s-themed purveyor of fries, stuffed burgers, and booze and sister concept to next-door’s Cheesie's Pub & Grub—is open.

Nick Kokonas and Grant Achatz already purchased the space once home to Cantu’s other restaurant, iNG, which is to become Roister later this year. No word yet on what’s coming to the Moto space.
