Gaslight (2450 N. Clark St., Lincoln Park, 773-929-7759) is not, in the strictest sense, a new bar. Up until late last year, it called Racine Avenue home, until the Four Corners Tavern Group decided to pull it from that location to make room for wine bar Trellis. But Gaslight got a good deal out of the move—its new space, last occupied by Mickey's, is spanking-new and a perfectly summery spot for drinking.
You can camp out at one of three bars, each of which has a slightly different vibe—a standing-room-only main bar, a calm upper area with cozy booths for lounging, and a huge patio with dim lights and a DJ after 10:30. Guests were happily enjoying fish tacos, craft beers in Gaslight-branded koozies, and slushy blueberry lemonades all evening long.
Here's what all we saw when we swung by.
