Perfect evening for some pink wine, don’t you think? Test drive a few options at a rosé-pairing dinner at the Portage (3938 N. Central Ave., Portage Park, 773-853-0779), where each of the menu’s four courses will be set off against a different glass of vino. Call the restaurant to make a reservation for the $45 dinner, which has seatings at both 6 and 8 p.m.

Evanston’s Ten Mile House is hitting the road with a mobile wood-fired pizza oven, and on Fridays and Saturdays it’ll be stationed at Temperance Beer Company (2000 Dempster St., Evanston, 847-864-1000) so hop heads can get a good meal as they sample the brewery’s offerings. DIY pies start at $12.
Saturday, July 25
Cut through a muggy Saturday with chilly beers at Horse Thief Hollow (10426 S. Western Ave., Beverly, 773-779-2739), which will play host to the Summer Swelter craft brew fest from 6 to 9 p.m. The $20 entry gets you three tickets to sample offerings from Horse Thief, One Trick Pony, Marz, and other brewers, as well as live music.

Combine two of the summeriest beverages into one season-long Tiki Sangria Brunch at Autre Monde (6727 W. Roosevelt Rd., Berwyn, 708-775-8122). Get $5 glasses of the house-made concoction to sip as you listen to musician Ian Lieth perform on the patio—but if you can’t make it today, don’t worry: the deal runs every Sunday through September 6.
Oak + Char (217 W. Huron St., River North, 312-643-2427) has been putting on a series of themed Sunday suppers spotlighting various farms this summer, but the latest installment takes a bit of a twist. Tonight’s featured ingredient? Spam. The three-course meal costs $28 and will (probably, hopefully) also star some seasonal produce to balance out all that processed meat.
