Looking for a drink in the Loop? Check out Tellers Coffee (111 W. Monroe St.), a new independent coffee shop that opened last week in BMO Harris Bank. It’s serving local roasters like Metric, Big Shoulders, and Intelligentsia, as well as drinks like a rosemary citrus latte.

Chicago officially has the best drinks around (as if you didn’t already know that). Lost Lake (3154 W. Diversey Ave.), the awesome tiki bar in Logan Square helmed by acclaimed mixer Paul McGee, took home the award for Best American Cocktail Bar at this year’s Tales of the Cocktail’s Spirited Awards.

Some serious allegations have surfaced against Adam Seger, a mixologist who has worked in many of Chicago’s best bars and restaurants. The Times-Picayune reports that Seger was arrested last week in New Orleans on a third-degree rape charge from 2015. He has denied the accusations.

Much-beloved Baker Miller Bakery & Millhouse has experienced an entire death-and-rebirth cycle in the space of a week. Following a dispute with his landlord, owner Dave Miller announced that the Western Avenue location would be closing while he hunts for a new spot. A glut of comments on Facebook mourned the news, but just a few days later, Miller revealed that he’d found a new location in record time. Visit it at 4655 North Lincoln Avenue, the former location of Le Café. Congratulations to Baker Miller on the new home!
