Now that it’s kind of, sort of summer, Carlucci (1801 Butterfield Rd., Downers Grove) is ready for its annual patio party with live music, 12 cocktail stations, and a dinner buffet. Your $30 ticket gets you the buffet and three drink tickets. No RSVP needed—just get to the restaurant sometime after 6:30 p.m.
Toast to 20 years at Twisted Spoke (501 N. Ogden Ave., West Town) with 20 taps of rare beers starting at 6 p.m. There will be plenty of whiskey and bar bites, too—good thing, because the party runs until 2 a.m.
Saturday, June 6
Set out on a neighborhood expedition fueled by biscuits and coffee during the Logan Square Scavenger Hunt, which sets out from Bang Bang Pie Shop (2051 N. California Ave., Logan Square) at 1 p.m. Your $35 entry includes said biscuits and coffee, a chance to compete in the race, and admission to an afterparty at Emporium Arcade Bar with treats from Blue Sky Bakery. Sample some suds from more than 30 different beermakers at the Hyde Park Brew Fest, taking place Saturday and Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. at the intersection of 55th Street and Kenwood. A $45 ticket gets you 20 tasting tickets as well as a souvenir glass. (There’s also a regular party with music and food going on from noon to 8 p.m.)
Sunday, June 7
Cap off Negroni Week, which is definitely a real thing going on all week, with an oyster-filled cookout at Frontier (1072 N. Milwaukee Ave., West Town). The namesake cocktail will be $7, but there will also be a $3 Jell-O shot version and a $30 large-format punch variant to use to wash down the $2 char-grilled oysters. The cookout kicks off at 2 p.m.
