Thursday, March 7: Taste more than 65 wines from Willamette Valley, Oregon, at City Winery (1200 W. Randolph St., 312-733-9463). Tickets for Pinot in the Windy City (available here) are $65 and include passed hors d’oeuvres; doors open at 6 p.m.

 

Thursday, March 7: Indulge in a hot, cheesy treat for a cool 75 percent off. Troquet (1834 W. Montrose Ave., 773-334-5664) will cook up croque monsieurs (the grilled ham and cheese sandwiches, with béchamel sauce and Dijon mustard, making you drool in the photo above) for just $2. They're normally $8, but this deal is in celebration of Troquet's first anniversary.

 

Saturday, March 9: Pretend it’s already summer at a s’more-themed culinary class at ZED451 (739 N. Clark St., 312-266-6691). At 2 p.m., pastry chef Kate Milashus (Zealous) will show guests how to make mini s’more pies, skewers, and caramel corn, plus homemade marshmallows. The $20 includes a shamrock shake cocktail, dessert, port wine pairing, and an extra treat to take home.

 

Sunday, March 10: Explore the cuisine of Barcelona at Autre Monde (6727 W. Roosevelt Rd., Berwyn, 708-775-8122). The restaurant’s Spanish Sundays Supper series currently features three tapas-inspired courses for $40. Dishes include traditional Catalan stew, braised short rib with chorizo, and flan with lemon cookies.
