The departure of wine bar Bluebird last year meant Bucktown drinkers were out a quiet, inviting spot for a date-night sip. But as of this week, a new bar called Presidio (1749 N. Damen) has stepped in to take its place–in more ways than one, considering it's taking over the space Bluebird used to inhabit.

Presidio's game is craft cocktails with some West Coast influences (so a lot of agave and mezcal), ready to be enjoyed on cozy couches and with soft mood lighting. There's a menu of both bar snacks and a full menu of eats to choose from, intended to be accessible to all manner of evening plans, from dinner to nightcaps.
