Like peanut butter and jelly, the chefs John Manion (La Sirena Clandestina) and Mark Steuer (Carriage House) have joined forces to create something delicious.

The two are partners in Viva La Rev, an umbrella company that will launch a new restaurant early next summer. (The umbrella also encompasses La Sirena, which Steuer is not a partner in.) “[Viva La Rev] was John’s name. Going back to his roots. It’s a Che Guevara thing,” Steuer says. Manion says the newest project will be located on Washington around the corner from Soho House and will serve Latin-tinged food. “It might speak a little bit to Argentina but without being Argentine,” he says.

Both say the pseudo-Argentinean project marks only the first new concept for Viva La Rev. So the rev will spread from place to place. Che would be proud.
