You can see the Heisler Hospitality parentage of the Queen Mary Tavern (2125 W. Division St., Wicker Park, 773-697-3522) from the moment you walk into the place. The streamlined menu, wood accents, and carefully considered design call to mind sister spots Sportsman's Club and Pub Royale almost immediately. 

Here the inspiration is decidedly both British and naval, as evidenced by the overproof spirits and rotating daily grog. On Saturday night, chilly and be-sweatered patrons crowded into the narrow space to sip on fortified wine and a limited slate of beers (coming soon: two exclusive drafts from Aquanut), leaning over the double-sided bar to chat.
