It’s International Sherry Week, apparently! To celebrate, Sable (Hotel Palomar, 505 N. State St., River North, 312-755-9704) will add three cocktails featuring the Spanish import to their menu through Sunday, including the Que Buena Pinta cocktail, a drink from bartender Jess Lambert that earned first runner-up at the 2015 U.S. Sherry Competition. If you can’t make it this week, Lambert’s concoction will also make it onto the bar’s new fall cocktail menu.
Wednesday, November 4

Thursday, November 5

They’re hosting a four-course dinner with brews from Goose Island and liquor from Louisville–based Angel’s Envy alongside each course for $50. Dinner starts at 7 p.m. and you can get tickets here.
Saturday, November 7
General admission tickets to this year’s Ramenfest at Urbanbelly (1400 W. Randolph St., West Loop, 773-583-0500) have long since sold out, but never fear—you can still get in if you’re able to pony up $150 for a VIP ticket. Twenty chefs from around the city will be proffering their own take on the classic bowl, and VIP entry gets you samples of all of them an hour before the masses.
