Just in time for the Cubs’ latest postseason campaign comes Lowcountry (3343 N. Clark, Lakeview, 773-996-9997), a new bar that's part-seafood boil, part-karaoke, and, in true Wrigleyville tradition, all-conducive to having a wild (read: drunken) night.
Upstairs is a bona fide seafood restaurant, serving shrimp, crabs, mussels, lobster, and more. Tables are covered in craft paper to soak up the mess you'll make eating. They're also easily rearranged for flip cup or the spot's dice game, where you buy a $3 shot and leave the liquor in question up to chance. (See the photos for the rules.)
Downstairs has an entire second bar, as well as half a dozen private booths for karaoke. The walls aren't entirely soundproof, so there's a good chance you'll hear a muffled rendition of Mariah Carey from the booth next door, but that only adds to the ambience.
Here's what else we saw when we stopped in.
