February 3, 2010 -- The Regional Sub-Zero/Wolf Showroom in Glendale Heights honored the winners and participants of the Sub-Zero/Wolf Kitchen Design Contest (KDC). Held over a two year time span, professional kitchen designers, builders, and architects were encouraged to build high-end beautiful kitchens using Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances. With many categories, and judged by professionals in the industry, the KDC is often referred to as the “Oscars of kitchen design.” Prizes included cash (national winners received $15,000), local and national recognition, appliances, and even an all-expense paid trip to the luxurious Breakers Hotel & Resort in Palm Beach, Florida. The KDC celebration included live music, cocktails, wine samplings from a wine expert, and hors d’oeuvres prepared by Sub-Zero/Wolf Corporate chefs. The event was sponsored by Chicago Home + Garden magazine. Read more
