Carson Pirie Scott in Yorktown showcased must-have fashion trends for the fall season in its annual runway fashion show on September 21. Over 250 attendees viewed fashions from Vince Camuto, Michael Kors & more while DJ Megan Taylor spun upbeat jams and Chicago magazine style editor Gina Bazer emceed the show. Guests shopped while tasting delicious breakfast bites. Chicago magazine surprised one guest with a pair of new shoes and a handbag for fall. Real Housewives of New York, Jill Zarin, was in attendance promoting her new jewelry line and chatted with guests. Read more

September 18, 2013--Chicagoland’s design lovers came out in support of Designs for Dignity at Chicago Home + Garden’s fourth annual Chairs for Charity event at Cosentino. The evening featured a silent auction of one-of-a-kind, reimagined vintage chairs from 13 of Chicago’s top designers. Guests enjoyed delicious hors d’oeuvres from Mercat a la Planxa, wine from 90+ Cellars, signature cocktails from Tito’s Handmade Vodka, and beer from Peroni. Read more

September 20, 2013--Chicago foodies took to Union Station for the James Beard Foundation’s Taste America “Journey Through the Great Lakes” benefit dinner to support the foundation as well as local charity partner Common Threads. Chefs included All-Star Richard Blais; Andrew Zimmerman of Sepia; Paul Virant of Vie; Tony Mantuano of Spiaggia; and Gale Gand of Tru, among others. Following dinner, “Night Bites” presented by Breadcrumb PRO, showcased the city’s rising star chefs, Crafthouse Cocktails, and music by Matt Roan. Read more
