My best friend is getting married this weekend and I’m ecstatic. The wedding will go down just as she always planned: an intimate, laidback evening ceremony atop the roof of her family’s boathouse in our Northern Wisconsin hometown.
I decided to peep the forecast for next Saturday night—54 degrees?! What does one wear for this unseasonable chill?
The answer: One sports a sweater that doesn’t entirely cancel out the cuteness of one's summery dress. Easier said than done, I know. A frantic search through my closet turned up no contenders—everything was either too wintry or the wrong length.
I think this oversized cashmere number (marked down to a very affordable price!) may be my savior. It’s warm but not bulky and with drop shoulders and side slits, it’s far more interesting than the basic cardigan.
If this sweater doesn’t work to combat the chill, there’s always Champagne!
