Celebrity hairstylist Daniel Villano is planning to set up a monthly residency in Chicago, bringing his signature hair painting method to the Midwest. The stylist has a lot of celebrity clientele, and topping that list is the First Lady—Villano was part of the team who transformed Michelle Obama’s much buzzed-about bangs for her 49th birthday, and continues to provide professional hair services for her today.
Now, Villano is accepting hair color appointments from a temporary salon space in Oak Park on February 23–24 and March 23–24. Single process color starts at $160; single process and highlights from $225; highlights from $300.
If you go, you should know that he’s renowned for his balayage technique, a form of highlighting where color is painted on rather than foiled for more natural placement. He’s got the credentials—Villano has apprenticed with French hair guru Fredrick Fekkai and his work has been featured on the pages of Vogue, Elle, and InStyle.
