After 18 years on Oak Street, The Denim Lounge and its adjoining sister store Madison & Friends are closing.

While its Roscoe Village location will remain open, this independent boutique has had a rough ride in the Gold Coast over the past year. After losing part of its lease last summer, all of the stores merchandise was moved down to the building's second floor. Less than 6 months after reopening in the new space, the shop is shuttering for good.

To go out with a bang, the store is holding a "Leaving Oak Street" sale starting Tuesday, February 11. All merchandise will be discounted 30 to 80 percent, including brand new items still arriving over the next few weeks.

The Denim Lounge specializes in high-end women's, men's and kids' denim, and everything will be on sale. At the moment, they have a particularly huge selection of AG, Hudson and Henry & Belle colored denim in stock. Along with jeans, apparel and accessories are also for sale.
