This Week’s Top Story
Goldplaited which began as a finishing salon in Lake View, recently opened a second outpost in River North (161 W. Illinois St.) Instead of offering washes and blowouts like many of its peers, the new salon focuses exclusively on dry hairstyles including braids or updos; makeup application is also offered.
For Lollapalooza weekend, staffers are armed and ready to give Grant Park-goers a little festival edge. One such style: braids tied up with edgy scarves, or decorated with jewelry pieces such as a single, spare earring.
