While plenty of luxury automotive companies have gotten into the fashion game with car-related accessories and clothing, none have done it quite like Porsche. The brand's high-end lifestyle label, Porsche Design, holds its own in the fashion world with a full collection of ready-to-wear pieces for women and men, handbags and accessories.
For men, that means suit separates in tech-stretch fabric (blazer $1,050, pants $460), calf skin leather motocross jackets ($2,600), and accessories like a pair of aviator-style titanium sunglasses ($500). Women will find streamlined shift dresses ($855), leather and python-skin jackets ($1,062) and a line of Italian-made handbags.
The brand's first flagship store in Chicago, Porsche Design at The Shops at Northbridge (520 N. Michigan Avenue, level 2; 312-321-0911) is now open. Expect to see more Porsche fashion in the future – CEO Juergen Gessler says plans are in place to open a second store in Oakbrook Center this summer.
