With outdoor street festivals and open-air markets but a distant memory, this weekly indoor bazaar is just heating up. From November 24 through December 15, Dose Market holds four holiday-centric shopping events at 1st Ward at Chop Shop (2033 W. North Ave.) in Wicker Park. Each Sunday market (10 a.m. to 4 p.m.) costs $5 to enter and features at least 25 vendors—ranging from makers and bakers to designers and briners.
This weekend’s theme, “Kitchen Bliss,” is geared toward those who love to entertain (or just eat!). Shop dry goods and pantry essentials from G & C Pantry Co., artisan cheeses from Yankee Hollow, hydroponic planters from Modern Sprout, and kitchen linens from Tartella.
Highlights at the December 1 market include a locally-made sriracha replacement by TongueSpank Spice Co., lipstick and makeup palettes from Morgan Marie Beauty, and hand-stitched cotton throws by Hand & Cloth.
On December 8, shop salvaged backpacks and totes by Munie Designs, Parisian market finds from Mayseek Global Treasures, and DIY kits for kids from Fat Blossom Farm.
On December 15—the final market of the season—peruse boom boxes by Artpentry; Chicago-themed tees from City of Win; and cozy knits for babies, kids, and adults from APORTA.
