Designer lingerie boutique Journelle (1725 N. Damen Ave., journelle.com) opens its first Chicago store on Friday. The Bucktown shop marks the fifth overall location for the brand—and the first one outside New York. The boutique sells bras, underwear, swimwear, loungewear, and other items from labels such as Fleur of England and La Perla.

Chalk (2611 Prairie Ave., Evanston, chalkboutique.com) rarely hosts sales, but is in the midst of one now. While supplies last, select merchandise is up to 45 percent off. The esteemed (and even Goop-approved) women’s boutique carries clothing and accessories from designers including Sonia Rykiel and Holmes & Yang.
There’s a fall sale going on at men’s store J. Toor (900 N. Michigan Ave., jtoor.com). Running indefinitely, the event features 20 percent discounts on overcoats, 30 percent off sports jackets, and 20 to 30 percent off work attire. Select fall merchandise is also up to 50 percent off.
Opening
A new Sorel store opens Friday at Westfield Old Orchard (4905 Old Orchard Center, Skokie, westfield.com/oldorchard). The line is known for sturdy outdoor apparel such as waterproof boots, cold-weather jackets, and hats.
Pop-Ups
Luxury Garage Sale, the upscale consignment brand, will host a designer pop-up shop at rooftop bar J. Parker (1816 N. Clark St.) on Saturday. From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the shop will offer goods from Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Hermes, and more. Meanwhile, the brand’s Holiday Pop-Up is still running at the 900 North Michigan Shops.
The latest installation of the series Pop-In@Nordstrom is taking place at the Michigan Avenue Nordstrom (55 E. Grand Ave., nordstrom.com) through January 3. The shop features items for men and women from fashion brand Opening Ceremony. Merchandise includes striped t-shirts, knit hats, needlepoint baseball caps, and dog-print bags.
Market
Randolph Street Market returns to Plumber’s Hall (1340 W. Washington St., randolphstreetmarket.com) on Saturday and Sunday. This iteration of the popular shopping event will have a holiday theme, and will feature 100 vendors selling goods such as vintage clothing and antique jewelry. Additional holiday markets will take place November 28 to 29 and December 12 to 13.
