While homebound with a newborn during one of Chicago’s famously bad winters, Monica Royer decreed that there had to be a better way to shop boutique-quality baby clothing from home. Shortly thereafter, the concept for Monica + Andy was born. “Andy” refers to Royer’s brother, Andy Dunn, the founder of ultra-popular online men’s apparel company Bonobos. With Dunn’s encouragement, Royer created her online-only collection of super-soft onesies, dresses, tops, and bottoms for girls and boys, in sizes 0 to 3T.
I’m no expert in infant fashion, but I am a connoisseur of all things cute, and these sweetly sophisticated striped onesies, gingham print shirts, and bow-laden dresses hit the mark. “Ooh” and “aww” over them yourself at Monica + Andy’s launch party and fashion show, held Sunday, November 3 at 10:30 a.m. at the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum (2430 N. Cannon Dr.). Your donation ($10 is suggested) supports More Than Milk.
