November 2, 2011--Chicago Home + Garden's second annual Chairs for Charity event was a hit, as more than 250 of Chicagoland's design lovers came out in support of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Hosted at Chicago Art Source in Lincoln Park, Chairs for Charity featured re-imagined vintage chairs from 15 of Chicago's top designers, architects, and artists. Guests enjoyed delicious bites from chef Jared Van Camp's highly anticipated restaurant, Nellcôte, while bidding on chairs throughout the evening. November 11, 2011--A record 650 guests, escorted by 200 pet companions, gathered at The Drake Hotel on Friday, November 11 for a special evening of elegance and compassion at PAWS Chicago’s tenth annual Fur Ball. As Chicago’s premier pet-friendly black tie gala, the event raised more than $750,000 which will go directly to saving the lives of Chicago’s homeless animals, making it the most successful Fur Ball to date. October 15, 2011--Designs for Dignity hosted its 8th Annual Kitchen Walk on October 15th in Harbor Country, Michigan. More than 325 guests enjoyed touring amazing homes on the lake and charming cottages while noshing on delectable bites from talented chefs and demonstrators. Crowd favorites along the tour were the grass fed meatballs via Luisa's Cafe and the chile verde via The Kielbasa Brothers! Attendees enjoyed dishes from 14 of the city’s best restaurants and chefs—picked from the pages of Chicago magazine—with perfectly paired cocktails and beer.
