November 17, 2009 – French Country home décor store Pierre Deux opened up the Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons with the event “Haute Holiday Tabletops.” Guests perused the store’s Winnetka location and listened as three Chicagoland designers discussed ways to jazz up a dining room table for the holidays. The festive gathering featured a fall tablescape design by Sue Carleson, a decorative Thanksgiving buffet by Joan Frost, and a holiday-inspired tabletop by Holly Wilson. October 7, 2009 -- Duxiana Chicago teamed up with Pops for Champagne to celebrate the opening of the luxury bed manufacturer’s newest location at 619 N. State St. Guests toasted champagne and relaxed on DUX Beds throughout the event, which benefited the Illinois Chapter of the Pajama Program, a not-for-profit organization that provides pajamas and books to needy children. July 23, 2009--PAWS Chicago, the city's largest No Kill, human organization hosted the 7th Annual Beach Party on Thursday, July 23 at Castaways Boathouse at North Avenue Beach. This year's event had more than 400 people and dogs in attendance, making it one of Chicago's largest pet-friendly social gatherings. Presented by Escada and featuring The Underwater People, the Beach Party raised more than $160,000 to support PAWS Chicago's efforts to build a No Kill city. Read more

June 19, 2008 - Parkways Foundation, the philanthropic partner of the Chicago Park District, hosted the sixth annual Garden Party at Northerly Island. Over 650 attended the event which raised a record $300,000 for a new soccer field at McKinley Park. The theme of the afternoon was a tribute to the Century of Progress World's Fair. Guests enjoyed a reception featuring young violinist from Sherwood Park in Chicago's Englewood neighborhood, a performance by the GoGirlGo! dancers also from Sherwood Park and Chicago designer Maria Pinto added excitement to the reception with a fashion preview featuring 12 looks from her collection. In celebration of the new fragrance by David Yurman, guests were invited to the Oak Street location for cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and a chance to sample the new perfume. A percentage of the evening's sales went to PAWS Chicago and guests went home with a goody bag that included a bottle of the new signature scent by David Yurman

July 28, 2008- Harry Winston, the Art Institute of Chicago, and Chicago magazine hosted a cocktail reception for more than 100 guests at Harry Winston's Oak Street store. Special guest Dr. Madhuvanti Ghose, associate curator of Indian, Southeast Asian, Himalayan, and Islamic art at the Art Institute of Chicago, hosted the event. Guests viewed a presentation featuring rare jewels of the world and enjoyed delicious hors d'oeuvres from Spiaggia and Champagne from Veuve Clicquot.
