March 23, 2006 - Chicago magazine celebrated the Spring 2006 edition of Chicago FASHION on March 23, 2006 with "Backstage." More than 200 guests were transported to the backstage of a fashion show, complete with models dressing on raised platforms, a Green Room for VIPs, and a giant painting of the issue's cover. June 22, 2006 - Parkways Foundation's fourth annual Garden Party raised $290,000 to benefit a new signature playground in Washington Park. Nearly 700 attendees in hats of all styles lunched under a tent at Daley Bicentennial Plaza. An additional $3,500 in scholarship funds was raised for children to attend the after-school program at the Park. Read more

January 18, 2007 - For the 13th consecutive year, Chicago magazine was pleased to introduce its Chicagoans of the Year, nine individuals who have made vital contributions to the life and spirit of the city during 2006. This year’s honorees ranged from the two dancers who founded an annual AIDS fundraiser to the doctor who invented a revolutionary prosthetic. The magazine celebrated their achievements at its annual Chicagoans of the Year luncheon on Thursday, January 18, 2007, at the Four Seasons Hotel. On Wednesday, August 30th, Chicago magazine, the Hard Rock Hotel, and China Grill hosted an indoor/outdoor rooftop rendezvous in the Hard Rock Hotel's Hamer Room, an intimate space with a view of Michigan Avenue. This two-hour cocktail reception welcomed nearly 100 guests, including the Hard Rock Hotel's VIPs and Chicago magazine agency clients.
